Some people's children
So, I'm torn on what to write about today. Do I want to write about seeing Skynard last night or about Hippos....Skynard or Hippos, Hippos or Skynard....ok, Hippos wins out.
Are you aware that 9 Australians die every year in Africa from Hippo attacks. This information was confirmed on the wrapping of an Australian panty liner, therefore I know that it is legite.
What the chewy are these people thinking trying to befriend a wild hippo?? This question has been running through my mind for over a year now. Scotty's theory is that Australians have Crocs, so therefore they ain't skerd, and think that a hippo is like a friendly, big dog or something.
Now, don't get me wrong, my favorite quote is 'Don't go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail'. But if it means getting off the path to go pet a hippo...DON'T! I mean..seriously.
But, I'll be honest with you. If I was walking down the street and happen to run into a hippo, I might try to go get my picture with it, but thanks to my sources, I know better. I mean, when Leah and I saw two camels on the side of the Nullabore, we stopped and took pictures, but we didn't try to ride them or anything.
So, the moral of my story is....next time you see a hippo, they aren't that friendly, so don't try to be their new best friend.
Who'd of thunked this about Hippos?
